Victron Products for gliding
Victron are one of the leading brands when it comes to chargers and solar off grid solutions, so why not harness these amazing products for gliding?
Victron chargers offer greater control over your battery charging, with smart Bluetooth features enabling you to customise your charge curves, as well as see real time data on the charge cycle.
Wiggle and Push is also proud to present the first commercially available trailer solar kits, these are bespoke kits put together to suit your glider and its needs. Why bother putting panels on your trailer? It gives you the freedom to charge your batteries wherever you are, as well as leaving it connected to trickle charge during storage periods. The larger kits will also enable you to run a dehumidifier through the winter without the need for an electric hookup.
Imagine you rock up to a comp, pop your tent next to the trailer and then connect to the outlet under the trailer to provide mains power to your tent, while your trailer also charges your glider batteries and provides USB power to charge other accessories all with minium hassle!
The IP65 12/4 charger is capable of charging both lead acid and Lithium batteries, starting at £79 for the 4amp model, with larger models available for faster charging. This charger is also, as the name implies, IP65 water resistent, this makes it more sutiable for outdoor charging. It contains all the standard victron smart features, enabling you to set custom charging profiles and swap battery chemistry with ease.

The IP22 12/15 (3) charger is the most impressive bit of kit however. It can charge three independent batteries, all of different make ups enabling you to charge two lithium panel batteries as well as a lead engine battery for turbo gliders. These chargers are a little more expensive at £200 but will give you the ease of use. It can supply up to a total of 15 amps of charging, split between the three chargers however you would like – meaning it can charge 2 standard 10AH batteries in under 2 hours!
Unlike the smaller IP65 charger, the IP22 is not waterproof, and to use it you will need to make up your own connectors and attatch them to the screw terminals.
